Ball Buster

The Annual Ball Buster was held at the LYNX this past Sunday, and this year we had a winner other than the golf course!

Kyle Farris & Daniel Hampsten took the title with a 10-under-par 62. The holes were challenging, and the competition was keen, with four other teams shooting 64 to share the runner-up spots. Special event winners were Jon Heasley, Kyle Farris, and Jason Mih. Erik Helton and Tyler Howard claimed the only skin of the day. After a chilly start, there were no complaints about the weather. Thank you to everyone who came out and played.

ROWE BOAT VIII

Congratulations to Pat McCabe & Tom Riddering, this year's Annual Rowe Boat Champions! They shot 2 under 70 in the challenging shamble format. Runner-ups were Greg Andrews & Tyler Berg who shot even par 72. The pressure is always on with the tee shots in this unique event. We'll take a sunny, cool day too. Thank you Mother Nature. Pat & Tom will be forever on our LYNX Wall of Fame with the title. Thank you to all who played and made it another fun and exciting day of competition at The LYNX.

Betty June

The weather was perfect! What a day for the Betty June. Congratulations to our Champions. In the Gross Division they were Cathy Ptacek & Marlene Capotosto. They shot 75. In the Net Division, Anita Miller & Barb Rowley lit it up with a 53! All the ladies seemed to enjoy the golf, food and fun. Another great day at The LYNX. Thank you to all who played.

Fall Frolic

Our Annual Ladies Fall Frolic was contested on a beautiful Saturday this Fall. Congratulations to the team of Darcy Crampton, Tara Jackman, Jill McIntyre and Gayle Ruhle. They won the playoff over the team of Sherrie Glas, Kim Samelstad, Nancy Snyder and Chris Zeigler. Both teams shot 63. The ladies were treated to some great weather and it was another fun day at The LYNX!

M-89 Challenge - Girls

The Plainwell Trojans own M-89 until next year. They won our Girls M-89 Challenge over the Otsego Bulldogs 176 to 198. The girls were treated to some great weather and competition. It's always our pleasure to host this annual tournament for the high school girls. The Hamilton Hawkeyes finished third with 239. Plainwell is now enshrined on our M-89 Challenge Wall of Fame. Ayla Jaeger led the charge as medalist with a fine score of even par 36. Our LYNX girls, Avery Selent & Annika Quakenbush tied for second with 42. Thank you to all who competed. As always a fun day of golf and camaraderie!

M-89 Challenge Boys

In high school golf, the 5th man is often overlooked. Not in this year's Annual M-89 Challenge. The fifth man score broke the tie and Otsego Bulldogs are the 2025 Champions. They tied with the Wayland Union Wildcats with 318 in the team format. Medalist for the tournament was Drew Rayman of the Plainwell Trojans. The Otsego team consisted of Owen Santman, Jurian Shaffer, Landon Eastman, Andrew Ballman and Karson Holladay. Drew Rayman from the Plainwell Trojans was the medalist at even par 72 under not so great weather conditions. Landon Eastman paced the champion team with a 76. It was a three peat for the Otsego Bulldogs who now have another team photo on the LYNX Wall of Fame. The other teams who competed were Saugatuck, Hamilton, Plainwell and Allegan. It's alway a fun day of competition!

TINK VIII

Congratulations to our 2026 Tink Champions! Benjamin Gernaat, Jacob Gernaat & Jacob Farris won the playoff at 61. Jerry Wheeler, Brad Wheeler & Mike Hook also shot 61. Mother Nature and Tink were looking down on us this Masters Sunday and it was a beautiful day. Breezy and warm! It was another sellout and full field that benefitted junior golf. The Tink is our annual kickoff to the season and it was a great day of golf, food and fun. Make it your mission to play more golf this year!
