2022 Ball Buster
Congratulations to our 2022 Ball Buster Champions Matt Bourdo & Robert Thompson claimed the title with a 67! The defending champions Josh Bloomfield & Mac Dietz finished a couple shots back at 69. Finishing third was the team of Doug Nooney & Ty Swinehart with 70.
The weather was cool and breezy but the sun was out. The course was set up challenging with some tough hole locations. Tough as it was, the players all seemed to have a great time.
Scott Pullen and Chris Weinger won the big skin with a lone birdie on #4! That made their day for sure!
Thank you to all who played. It was a great day and a fun tournament with a full field.
2022 M-89 Challenge - Girls
Congratulations to the Otsego Bulldog girls in winning the annual M-89 Challenge hosted by the LYNX. They finished at 193. The Plainwell Trojans took second at 209. The annual challenge takes place every Fall for our area high school girls golf teams. It was a chilly start to the day and the first frost of the season threatened. The girls bundled up and headed out for a fun day of competition. Otsego girls team members: Malia Holmes, Avery Selent, Claire Weirick, Tessa Visser, Sydney Grille and Maddie Schense. Otsego, Plainwell, Hopkins, Hamilton & Wayland Union all attended. Thank you all for playing. It's always a pleasure to host.
LYNX CLUB CHAMPIONS
The final matches concluded with excitement and next year's parking spots have been determined! The Wall of Fame will have some new faces in 2022. Congratulations to our Club Champions. The first match went an extra hole as Mindi Snyder defeated Amy Rakowski. Mindi is our Ladies Net Champion. Shelly Edgerton defeated Lois Heuchert 5-4 and is our Ladies Club Champion. For the men, Pete Fager defeated Roger Pearson 6-5 to retain his Bronze Division title. Shawn Hukill held off Kent Wallace and finished 1-up to win the Platinum Division. Mark defeated John Lewis 2-1 to claim his parking spot for 2023. Mark is our Silver Division Champion. It was another fun championship and you could sense the excitement and nervousness. Thank you to all who played in the qualifier and again congratulations to our 2022 LYNX Club Champions!
2022 Member-Guest
Congratulations to our Overall Member-Guest Champions Doug Nooney & Matt Weaver! They defeated Frank & Quinn Perry in an exciting four hole playoff. Frank & Quinn are still champions as they won the Nicklaus Flight. Doug & Matt are the Hogan Flight champions. Thank you to all who played. We think they enjoyed the new format and all seemed to have a great weekend of golf, food & fun!
2022 Ladies Championship
A few of our LYNX ladies gathered for the 2022 Ladies Championship. Congratulations to Tammy Bailey & Sue Frye for winning the title! It was a fun Sunday afternoon of golf. Our ladies sure know how to have fun!
2022 Member-Member
Congratulations to Rob Ptacek & Tim Coopmans, our 2022 Men's Member-Member Champions. They defended their title. Doug Nooney & Mike Triemstra made a nice move up the leaderboard in Round Two to finish second. It was a fun couple days of competition. Thank you to all who played!
Father’s Day Scramble
Our Fathers Day Scramble Champions were the Chiefs in a scorecard matchback with a birdie on #13. The Chiefs team was Matthew Haar, Michael Haar, Tom Haar & Aaron Miller. They shot 63. Plum Smugglers also shot 63. They were John Hambright, Brett Larner, Thomas Ray & Derek Twite.

Betty June Women's Invitational

2022 M-89 Challenge - Boys
Hamilton HS is our 2022 Annual M-89 Challenge champions! 8 local high schools played through some challenging conditions. Frankly, it rained the entire round! Pure Michigan! Hamilton finished at 338. Runner-up was Allegan HS at 349. Five players from each school competed for the aggregate score of 4 of 5 scores. Hamilton was spearheaded by the medalist Riley Johr who shot 75. Hamilton's Eli Timmerman shot 76 for second medalist. Thank you to all who played. They are now considered "mudder warriors!" It was still great to host our juniors from the area schools.
2022 Rowe Boat Best Ball
This past Saturday, April 30 was our annual Rowe Boat Best Ball. The weather was a much different story! 30 two-man teams endured cold, wind and rain! Pure Michigan! It was quite a test for the players! Congratulations to the team of Ryan Sprague & Stephen Chachulski on their victory with an even par 72! That was some solid play in those conditions! Runner ups were Pat McCabe & Andy Weatherhead shooting a fine 75. Even though it was a grind, everyone had a good time. We think! Thank you to all who played.
